Bangalore: The shares of Bajaj Auto (BAJAJ-AUTO) plunged by nine percent on Monday to end the day at Rs. 1069.65. After starting the day at Rs. 1,190, the stock went up to Rs. 1,215, before losing the momentum to drop by Rs. 105.75 before the close. The stock has a 52 week high of Rs. 1,356 and a P/E ratio of 19.97. A total of 46,819 Bajaj shares were traded through the day.
Bajaj Auto is an India-based company. The Company operates in segments, such as automotive and investment and focuses on the two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments. Recently, Bajaj reported a marginal decline in its motorcycle sales at 1,68,163 units in July, even as it plans to increase domestic bike production by 25 percent in August. The company had sold 1,68,971 units in July last year. The 52 week stock price chart is on the left.
Out of the 34 analysts following the stock, the consensus recommendation is to hold the stock with nine analysts suggesting to hold and seven analysts recommending a buy rating on the stock. Several police reports were filed about someone entering vehicles at the 4320 Warm Springs Road business between 8 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
