New BMW Z4 Roadster arrives in the Philippines

Asian Carmakers Corp. (ACC), the exclusive distributor of BMW cars and motorcycles in the Philippines, said it is celebrating 75 years of BMW's tradition of building convertible cars by launching the new BMW Z4 Roadster.

BMW said the Z4 Roadster is "a fascinating milestone in automotive technology," being the "only vehicle in its segment to combine classic roadster proportions." The company cited the positioning of the car's seats, which are located near the rear axle, as definitive of the Z4, which has a rear-wheel drive configuration and a fully automatic retractable hardtop. "The new Z4 offers all the driving pleasure of a
BMW roadster with particularly refined and stylish flair. Driving with the roof down, this two-seater offers a refreshingly intense experience. And driving it with the hardtop down, it provides all the comfort of a premium sports coupé. With this diversity and wide range of qualities, the new Z4 represents the rebirth of the roadster," BMW said in a statement.

"You can describe BMW's new sports car as the fast, beautiful and reliable car bound to give the ambitious sports driver one exhilarating experience after another," said ACC Sales Director Jay Cruz.
The Z4 has a two-piece lightweight hardtop that's made from aluminum. With the roof closed, the car retains the proportions typical of a genuine roadster, according to BMW.

The new Z4 is now available at Autohaus BMW in Libis, Quezon City (Tel. No. 638-0734); Autozentrum BMW in Alabang (Tel. Nos. 772-6021 to 24); Klassik BMW in San Juan (Tel.
